It’s finally DONE! This is Kurt and Blaine inside the caves where they have their secret rendevouz for Lurkdusoleil’s AMAZING fic: One Spectacle Grander. It literally has everything my little fantasy heart could want. I knew I had to draw it! I changed their designs a little from the story (Their colorations, and the amount of feathers on Blaine) due to poor attention to detail and my frustration with the wings. Even so, this is probably one of the most labor intensive pieces I’ve ever done. Remind me never to draw hundreds of individual scales again!
I think that a lot of the reason Jarvis has become so human is because Tony treats him like he’s human. Tony talks to Jarvis in a very colloquial way. He says “you up?” when he knows damn well that Jarvis is operational. He says “throw a little hot-rod red in there” instead of “paint components x, y, and z with red paint #20.” Tony treats all his machinery like that—Dummy and You, especially—and Jarvis is no exception.
Jarvis has become much more human since Iron Man 1. He actually displayed emotions in Iron Man 3—specifically when he feared for Tony’s life, his voice sounded terribly frightened, and in instances like the second gif where he said “I need to sleep” and not “My battery is depleted.” Jarvis has grown and changed, as any self-aware creature does. He has become human because he is treated as such.
you have no idea just how much the theme of robots and computers made by people who treat them like living things GETS TO ME. How Tony talks so Jarvis, how Jarvis talks to him, how underground costumes all got names…. And the moment in the end of iron man 3 where Tony goes back to his wrecked house just to pick up Dummy from ruins - IT RUINED MY HEART.
